Although it depends on the type of residence permit requested, a residence permit application can be made with a border visa.

After the expiring of the residence permit, visa or visa exemption cannot be used without leaving.

If obtained from out of Turkey, the documents for statement of income are required to be translated into Turkish by a sworn translator and notarized.

E-visa is valid in travels to Turkey for tourist or business purposes. E-visa application is made from the www.evisa.gov.tr website.

How can I learn the documents required after I make an application for residence permit?

After foreigners complete their applications on e-ikamet system, the documents required are listed on the application forms. Moreover they are listed as “Required Documents” on e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr. Detailed information may be obtained by calling YIMER157.

You need to use your visa, which is obtained from the consulate, within 6 months.
