How long should my passport period be to enter Turkey?
You need to have a passport or passport substitute document at least 60 days longer than you will stay.
How long will the residence permit applications be resulted?
Applications for a residence permit are resulted no later than ninety days after the application is processed. The ninety-days period starts after completing and submitting the information and the documents to the competent authority. In case of prolongation of time, the foreigner is informed.
How much money should I have in the bank to get a residence permit?
The foreigner's declaration is sufficient unless any document is requested for the short-term and student residence permits by the administration. For family residence permit applications, the total income of the supporter must not be less than the minimum wage and their income must be one-third of minimum wage per person. Long-term residence permit requires an adequate and regular income. In determining a sufficient and regular income, your income may be accepted if it is equal to the monthly minimum wage, or if you have an income-generating property, money in the bank to secure your livelihood in our country.
I have 1-year visa. Can I stay in Turkey continuously for 1-year?
You can stay in Turkey maximum 90 days within 180 days with a visa.
I stayed in Turkey five more days than my visa period (I breach) Does the entry ban is applied?
The situation is evaluated at the border gate when exiting. Pursuant to Article 54 of the Law, a removal decision shall be issued for the ones who overstayed their visa or the visa exemption period for more than ten days or, whose visas are cancelled. However, those who make a visa infringement of less than 10 days are allowed to leave, provided that they pay the fine. Pursuant to Article 54 of the Law 6458 no removal decision will be made.
