What is the visa exemption fee?
Countries that are exempted from residence permit fees and countries exempted from a single entry visa fee are determined by the Ministry in accordance with the reciprocity principle. A single entry visa fee is not taken as a result of having paid visa fees from foreign representatives by entering with a special type of visa or / or stamp visa application for foreigners entering Turkey. However, the foreigners entering our country without paying visa fees within the scope of visa exemption between the two countries and since they do not pay visa fees, a single entry visa fee is taken during the residence permit applications.
What’s an annotated (special condition / preliminary permission) visa?
This is a situation when a visa application is made to our foreign representatives and forwarded to the our General Directorate and a visa is not given without Internal Affairs Ministry's approval. Therefore it is considered to be a preliminary visa.
Where can I find out the result of my annotated visa (special condition visa) application?
The result may be learned from the Turkish Foreign Representative Office where you applied or the applicant can learn the result by contacting YİMER157 line if he/she reaches in person and passes the security questions.
Where should I make the payment for residence permit fee and card fee regarding the residence permit application?
You may make the payment for residence permit fee and card fee on E-Ikamet system using virtual POS with a credit card, to the tax offices collecting non-regular taxes, pay desks of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance or the banks that have agreement with the Ministry of Finance(Ziraat Bank, Vakıf Bank, Halk Bank) by giving your application number. The codes that need to be used to make payment at the banks are: 9207 for the card fee, 9234 for the visa fee, 9233 for the residence permit fee.
While entering the insurance information in the e-residence application form, you are asked for insurance information even for the ones under 18 and over 65 years old. How should this area be filled?
Under 18 and above 65 option must be selected for the short-term and student residence permits on the e-residence system. Sponsor needs to have a valid health insurance covering all family members for the family residence permit. Foreigners, who are under the age of 18 and not have a property holding or an income from their parents, do not have any opportunity to to have a long-term residence permit. Foreigners, who are over age of 65, are required to provide proof that they cannot be insured for long term residence permits
